Our Partnership with 2U

UC Berkeley works with 2U to support the delivery of these online degree programs. 2U is a global education technology provider that operates the learning platform, edX.

UC Berkeley has full control over the programs, including: creating admissions standards, rendering admissions decisions, creating academic content and providing course instruction, grading and assessment, selecting and employing all program faculty and instructors, financial aid, tuition pricing, graduation requirements, the issuance of credentials and transcripts, and program size.

2U’s support includes:

  • program management services, including market research and consultative program design recommendations
  • marketing and recruitment, including Enrollment Specialists who support prospective students through the application process, but who do not participate in the admissions decision-making process
  • application systems and processing
  • student coaching through graduation
  • support with state authorization and licensure compliance requirements
