5th Year Master of Information and Data Science (MIDS)
Tailored for UC Berkeley undergraduates interested in data science careers, the 5th Year Master of Information and Data Science program takes an interdisciplinary approach to data science instruction and equips students for careers in organizations that are increasingly reliant on data to make decisions.
The program provides students with a path to earning a professional master’s degree through focused advising and guided preparation. Students learn to derive insights from real-world data sets, using the latest tools and analytical methods to interpret and communicate their findings in ways that influence decision-making, changing both minds and behaviors in a variety of settings.
Delivered using state-of-the-art online technology, this program is designed from the ground up by UC Berkeley I School faculty. Courses are taught by I School faculty, leading industry practitioners and postdoctoral scholars.
