MIDS Course Spotlight Webinar – Synthetic Capstone

This webinar will be hosted by the datascience@berkeley Admissions team, and I School faculty member, Professor Joyce Chen, who teaches Synthetic Capstone in the MIDS program. During this session, Professor Joyce Chen will discuss:

  • The Synthetic Capstone advanced course and how it applies to the MIDS program’s learning objectives and core curriculum focuses
  • An introduction to the technical, analytical, interpretive, and social dimensions required to design and execute a full data science project
  • How the I School at UC Berkeley uses a project-based approach to learning and encourages a pragmatic application of a variety of different tools and methods to prepare graduates to be leaders in the field of data science
